This year, Kiawah is featuring 2 new courses, both for the Half and Full Marathon. Kiawah boasts some of the most scenic views a race could offer, not to mention the course is extremely flat, offering a lot of room to run your best time. There’s no better way to experience southern hospitality than at their race. If you are worried about parking and getting to the race start the day of, fear not. The race offers complimentary parking for off island runners as well as a free race shuttle to and from your vehicle, making it an ideal place to stay. This year’s race is on Saturday, December 8th.
The Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon has multiple times and places where runners can pick up their race packets. An early-bird pickup will be available on November 30th or December 1st at the Charleston Area Senior Center in Charleston, SC. You must register before November 18th to be eligible for early-bird pickup. Runners can also pick up their race packets and bibs at the East Beach Conference Center at Kiawah on December 6 from 4pm-7pm, December 7 from 10am-8:30pm and on Race Day December 8th from 6:30am-7:45am. You will need to bring your photo ID to receive your race bib. Participants are also being asked to bring 2 non-perishable canned goods for the Senior Center. All runners must be ready for the race to start promptly at 8am.
